~Thoughts ~ Hoping ~ Praying ~

Thank God shed your grace and blessing on the health of our good friend Brian. Hansen family blessings.

We received the results back from the bone scan yesterday. There is no cancer in his bones. This morning he was back in the OR. The surgeon was able to place the Tunneled catheter so we are hoping to go home either Friday or Saturday. We be able to drain the fluid from home. We are more than ready to head home after two weeks of being here.

So, so sorry to hear about this. You'll be in our thoughts and prayers. Bob and Judy

Brian God is with you, you are in my prayers every day, still with that strength that characterizes you.

Brian, our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

My thoughts and prayers are with you! If you need anything please just ask.

The hospital was able to do a bone scan today to be sure the cancer hasn't spread to his bones. The results wont come back until tomorrow.

This morning dad was scheduled to have a perminant chest tube put in that would allow him to drain the fluid from his lung by himself. This would have allowed him to go home sooner and to hopefully start treatment sooner. However during the procedure the doctors found pockets of dry blood in his chest cavity so the doctors closed his chest up. Leaving the temporary drain in dad returned to his hospital room.

Dad is now off IV fluid and the epidural has been removed. Other than the chest drain he is able to move around a little easier.

Brian and Andrea our prayers are with you both!

Just remember you have two more friends in Peru, we both are praying for you and your family.

Saturday, Jan 15, 2011 the day before dads chest pain began. Las
Vegas

Saturday night dad walked close to 3 miles in the hopital, lots lots long hallways and turning corners. The fluid from his chest has not slowed much. A decision on whether a perminant draining tube will be put in will be made today. Treatment could be started soon if this procedure is done however we are hoping that the liquid will slow and dad can return home without the burden of a perminant drain.

Brian . Amigo . Con todo mi corazon desde Colombia oraremos por tu salud y pronto regreso

From Colombia, we are praying for his soon recovery

Love you guys! You are in my thoughts all the time!

Add our prayers to the many that are already being said.

Once the fluid drain from his chest slows to about 50 ml a day dad can be released from the hospital. Currently he is still draining about 800 ml. We are hopeful that it will slow down soon but we could be here until about Wednesday.
